For some of us, owning a house is like the ultimate dream. But, in this economy, paying bills and staying afloat barely leaves anything in our accounts. A Nottingham couple however, decided to go against it all and do things their way. Iona Stewart and Martin Hill from Nottingham, England, love to travel and their jobs include being outdoors. So, the idea of living a stationary life didn’t quite fit their plan. The couple decided to go against the odds and buy “a big American RV”. That plan however, didn’t work out either. That’s when Iona and Martin turned to eBay in search of a truck.

The couple, who are both keen snowboarders, took to eBay in search of a truck. Soon enough, they found an old bread delivery truck; which they decided to buy for $4,700.
Stewart and Hill then started the painstaking task of giving it a complete makeover.
They then spent £20,000 (about $25,900) on the renovation.
The interior had to be completely designed and modeled to make it suitable for living.
The truck is fully furnished and is equipped with everything to make it feel like home.
Martin was the muscle of the project, while Iona was the brain who designed the interior.
The project took around four months to be completed.
“About four years ago after a few too many beers I thought about buying a big American RV” – Martin
“We bought the truck in May this year. We spent four months working on it full-time”
The couple did everything themselves. From painting to the last nail holding the ceiling, it was all Martin and Iona’s hard work.
In order to make it feel like home, the couple designed the place on two different levels.
It’s even equipped with a fully furnished double bed.
Making storage space was probably one of the hardest parts of the project but Iona made sure that they both had enough space to store their belongings.

The couple are currently living in their new mobile home; saving money and traveling throughout Europe. The two are currently in France and having a great time enjoying the beautiful sceneries.
